Market Focus Reports

Advertising-supported articles (advertorials) are special editorial services provided by Gatty Edits to publication clients. Gatty Edits recently prepared a special "Market Focus" report for Progressive Grocer, focusing on biotechnology beginning to be used by supermarkets to speed customer checkouts. A second "Market Focus" was developed promoting premium beverages from Diageo.

ShopWise circulars and their value as an important part of a supermarket company's advertising and marketing program. Other such reports included a series of three articles promoting services by members of the National Association for Retail Marketing Services (NARMS).

We also produce numerous Q&A "View Point" pieces for Progressive Grocer' explaining how services and products of industry companies serve the supermarket industry. One such piece discussed ScanLock, the anti-theft device from Trion Industries, Inc., Wilkes-Barre, PA, which can help supermarkets control shoplifting. Additional "View Point" pieces were prepared discussing other key Trion products and services.

G-Net Consulting Presents Value Study for Distributors

Gatty Edits' G-Net Communications Consulting in September presented an analysis of the value provided by convenience store distributors to retail customers and their suppliers.

The project was completed in partnership with Dietz Consulting, LLC, Huron, OH, for the American Wholesale Marketers Association (AWMA). A written report is now being published.

Bob Gatty and consultant Kit Dietz presented their findings at AWMA's 2006 Distribution Summit and Business Exchange in Lake Las Vegas, NV. For a summary of the study findings, please click here. The findings were based on interviews with convenience store distributors, suppliers and retailers, as well as data from other sources.

We write and edit SFA's weekly e-newsletter, The Snack Report, prepare SFA's monthly news section for Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery magazine, and manage content for SFA's web site.
